Technology Stack
From January 2024 Tact has been supporting First Bonaire with its accounting and advisory needs. As with all of our clients, we aimed to provide First Bonaire with a modern accounting system that would support its success. For First Bonaire, it was important that their customers could conveniently make online bookings and payments for their vehicles. Additionally the business wanted seamless integration of its online booking system and bank accounts with its accounting administration.
With the above and other requirements in mind we began setting up First Bonaire’s accounting system. The final setup ensures that online payments to First Bonaire bank accounts are automatically sent to its accounting system daily. Additionally, First Bonaire can easily digitise and submit its expense receipts for processing to the accounting system. This setup ensures that First Bonaire customers spend less time dealing with paperwork and more time enjoying Bonaire!
Accounting & Advice
Aside from maintaining First Bonaire’s accounting system, we provide the business with a full range of services including accounting, payroll, tax filing and advisory. Every month we complete bookkeeping and provide First Bonaire with an income statement and balance sheet report. Throughout the year we handle all tax filings to the Belastingdienst including ABB, loonbelasting and opbrengstbelasting. At year end we automatically prepare and file the annual statements to the Belastingdienst.
We also provide tax advice to First Bonaire on an ongoing and project basis. At the start of working with First Bonaire we discussed and explained the various taxes that would be applicable to the business. This took into consideration the business legal structure, its activities and the staff it employed. On an ongoing basis we also have periodic update calls with First Bonaire to discuss any business, tax or administrative topics.
Looking Forward
As the tourism sector continues to bounce back post Covid19 and the island’s development continues, we anticipate that this will have a positive impact on First Bonaire. In the immediate term there will be the need to navigate the high costs of doing business with increasing staff and materials costs. We look forward to continue supporting First Bonaire with navigating the challenges and opportunities ahead.
