At the start of 2026, I would like to inform you of some important brand changes for our firm. These changes reflect our ongoing efforts of combining accounting expertise with AI and machine learning in-order to provide more valuable services to our clients. Firstly, effective as of 5th January 2026, we will start using TactML as our trading name along with the new logo above. Over the coming days and weeks, our new logo will be rolled out across all our digital accounts.

Embracing AI and Machine Learning

In the past few years, AI and machine learning has been dominating news headlines. These technologies are quickly transforming the way we work and live; much like the internet has done in recent years. Modern accounting firms worldwide are utilising AI and machine learning to automate routine tasks like data entry, invoice processing and monthly reporting. With these time savings, firms are shifting their accountants from being “number crunchers” to strategic advisors; who can support clients in areas such as cashflow management, tax planning and more. The goal is simple; to spend less time on routine tasks and deliver higher value accounting services that help clients achieve success.

At TactML, we’ve been developing our AI and machine learning capabilities over the past several years. This includes investing in the education of our staff, making use of tools like ChatGPT for research and building our own AI powered applications. On the last point, in February 2026 we will be providing select clients with access to ABLE (previously named Score); an AI powered cashflow app that categorises your bank transactions daily. ABLE will give our clients more insight into their business cashflow and spending in real time.

Staying Guided by Tact

With the above said, it’s important to know that the decision to embrace AI and machine learning is being guided by “tact”. When I started our firm in 2018, roughly seven years ago, my goal was to create a firm that would enable businesses in the Caribbean Netherlands to unlock their financial potential and achieve their goals. This would be accomplished by our firm making use of modern technologies and delivering valuable advice to our clients. In other words, “tact” has always stood for “technology and advice for the Caribbean territory”. This philosophy of “tact” has and will always continue to be our guiding star. We believe that AI and machine learning will be important enablers of our “tact” mission. For this reason, we’ve added ML to the end of Tact to reflect the importance of it’s enabling role.

Now you might be wondering about the meaning behind the “water drop of water drops” icon in our new logo. Let me explain. Firstly, water has played historically and up to present, an important role in the economies and societies of both the Caribbean and European Netherlands. Think tourism, agriculture and construction in the Caribbean Netherlands to industry, shipping and energy production in the European Netherlands. As both a Dutch and Caribbean company, we wanted an icon that represents this heritage authentically. Additionally we wanted an icon that tells the story of our journey as a company. The progress that we’ve made over the past years as a bootstrapped company has come “one drop at a time”; each new client, service improvement and lesson learnt. This approach has taught us how to be patient, resilient and innovative in the face of setbacks and challenges faced. In Dutch we say “stap voor stap” and at TactML we say “one drop at a time”!

Next Steps

Over the coming days and weeks, our new logo will be rolled out across all of our digital accounts. This includes our website, social media accounts and invoicing application. Also in the coming weeks, more information on ABLE, our AI powered cashflow app, will follow this initial update.

In the Caribbean and the European Netherlands, businesses operate within complex regulatory, financial, and economic environments. Unlocking financial potential and enabling sustainable growth across both regions requires structure, clarity, and trusted partnership. Mission At TactML, our mission is to enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Caribbean region — including its diaspora — to […]

“C.R.E.A.M.” by the Wu-Tang Clan is a 1994 hip-hop classic that stands for Cash Rules Everything Around Me. The song captures the harsh realities of growing up in poverty, where the constant need for money pushes people toward crime, drug dealing, and survival, often trapping them in a relentless cycle. Despite its title, C.R.E.A.M. isn’t […]
